Vintage Phonograph Gramophone Seed Horn

Construct the main base box using walnut hardwood to mimic the classic timber casing of an early 20th-century gramophone player. Incorporate a small interior reservoir that gravity-feeds the seed toward the discharge point.

Fashion a large, conical horn using segmented cedar staves shaped and sanded into a smooth, flared trumpet profile. Secure this assembly to the side of the box using an adjustable metal bracket that allows for tilting the horn to catch rain runoff.

Utilize a carved wooden tone-arm as the primary seed chute, extending from the internal reservoir to the center of the horn basin. This arm features a small aperture at the 'needle' end that deposits seed directly into the feeding tray.

Apply a weather-resistant finish with gold-toned metallic paint on the horn interior to contrast against the dark wood grain of the body. Attach a decorative hand-crank to the side panel to provide a period-accurate aesthetic detail.
