Aeronautical Propeller Blade Spinner Feeder

Laminate thin strips of mahogany or cedar to create the curved, aerodynamic shape of the propeller blades. Use a template to sand the surfaces into a smooth, airfoil profile that catches the breeze for rotation.

Mount the propeller assembly onto a heavy-duty ball-bearing central spindle attached to a central wooden hub. Ensure the balance is precise so the feeder rotates smoothly even in light wind conditions.

Hollow out the rear of the central hub to serve as a gravity-fed seed reservoir that funnels grains through small exit ports. This design ensures that seed is dispersed as the blades spin during gusty weather.

Finish the wood with exterior-grade spar urethane to protect against moisture and UV damage. Install the unit on a vertical post using a weather-vane style pivot to allow the assembly to track with the wind direction.
