Craft the front 'lens' out of a circular wooden ring with a transparent acrylic center, which acts as the feeding port. Drill precise holes around the circumference of the ring to allow small birds to perch and access the feed within.

Apply a dark walnut stain to the wood and condition the leather with a natural wax finish to achieve an authentic antique look. Mount the entire assembly on a sturdy tripod-style wooden base for stability and aesthetic flair.
