Construct the square base box using mitered walnut joints to mimic the storage cabinet of a classic phonograph. This chamber serves as the primary feeding tray and houses the mounting hardware.

Attach a decorative brass-colored hand crank to the side of the box for aesthetic flair. Use a food-safe sealant to waterproof the base and prevent seed germination from moisture exposure.

Assemble the components by mounting the horn to a brass support arm angled over the seed tray. Test the flow rate to ensure birds can access the feed comfortably while keeping the reservoir protected from the elements.
