Vintage Camera Lens Bird Feeder

Construct the main camera body using a hollowed-out block of weathered oak. Carefully router a large circular aperture in the front panel to hold the lens element.

Create the lens assembly by stacking and gluing several concentric wooden rings made of plywood. The center opening serves as the primary seed reservoir, protected by a clear acrylic lens cover.

Incorporate a metal shutter-release button on the top panel that functions as a hidden latch for the seed hopper roof. This ensures easy refilling while maintaining the seamless aesthetic of a vintage device.

Finish the project with a non-toxic matte black exterior stain and attach a sturdy leather strap for convenient hanging. The design allows birds to land on the 'focal ring' while picking up seeds from the base tray.
