Begin by repurposing the hollow body of a discarded acoustic guitar, sealing the wood with marine-grade varnish to withstand outdoor exposure. Cut a clean, wider circular opening into the bottom bout to serve as the main seed basin and access point for the birds.

Install a removable acrylic insert within the sound hole to act as the primary seed reservoir, ensuring it is friction-fitted for easy cleaning. This creates a clear visual window so you can monitor seed levels while maintaining the guitar's iconic silhouette.

Mount a decorative fretboard extension along the side of the guitar body to function as a horizontal perch. Use waterproof wood glue and stainless steel screws to attach a series of polished wooden pegs, giving multiple birds a place to land simultaneously.

Finish the project by mounting a small copper drip edge over the bridge area to deflect rain away from the seed port. Secure the entire structure using a heavy-duty weather-resistant cable threaded through the headstock for stable, elegant suspension.
