Construct a temporary silicone mold around the wood core and fill it with deep blue tinted epoxy resin mixed with pearlescent mica powder. Add small silver leaf flakes to the pour to create the shimmering appearance of distant stars.

Once cured, mount the composite orb back onto the lathe to turn the exterior into a perfectly smooth, polished sphere. Use graduated sanding grits up to 2000 and apply a food-safe wax finish to bring out the depth of the resin.

Drill strategic feeding ports and attach a brushed brass suspension ring to the top pole. The final piece appears to suspend the wooden seed tray inside a captured galaxy, creating a stunning focal point for any modern garden.
