Install a slanted roof using reclaimed cedar fence pickets to protect the seed from rain and moisture. Ensure the roof has a generous overhang to keep the feeding tray dry during heavy storms.

Create a tiered interior floor using waterproof plywood to allow for different seed varieties on separate levels. Drill small drainage holes in each section to prevent seed rot and mold growth.

Mount the assembly to a sturdy post or hang it using heavy-duty galvanized chain hardware. Add a decorative trim to the front to provide a stable perching ledge for larger birds to land safely.
