The structural frame begins with thin sheets of Baltic birch plywood, precision-cut into irregular curved ribs using a CNC router to create a skeletal void form. These pieces are then dry-fitted around a central hub to establish the pod's signature fluid silhouette.

For the shell, cross-laminated layers of flexible veneer are vacuum-pressed over the skeletal ribs to create a seamless, monocoque exterior. This technique ensures high structural integrity while allowing for the complex, flowing geometry that defines the cocoon aesthetic.

Interior surfacing involves inlaying recessed LED fiber-optic clusters into the plywood wall panels to simulate a night-sky constellation. These cables are threaded through pre-drilled channels before the final finish, ensuring the exterior surface remains smooth and uninterrupted.

The final stage involves applying a multi-tone indigo and violet wood stain using a glazing technique to emphasize the organic layers of the plywood edges. A high-gloss, UV-resistant epoxy topcoat is then applied to protect the shell from high-canopy weather conditions while adding a deep, reflective finish.
