The frame is constructed using bent-laminated steam-treated white oak ribs to form a perfect geodesic sphere. Each joint is reinforced with custom-milled stainless steel brackets that allow for micro-adjustments during assembly.
The interior is lined with acoustic-grade cork tiles and reclaimed cedar planks to dampen external noise. A central suspended platform uses a gimbal mount to maintain a level surface regardless of the tree's natural sway.
External cladding consists of overlapping, weather-treated western red cedar shingles arranged in a scale-like pattern to shed rainwater efficiently. Circular portal windows are integrated at cardinal directions, featuring low-e dual-pane glass for thermal regulation.
The entire structure is tethered to the trunk via a custom-engineered tension-cable suspension system that avoids piercing the tree's vital cambium layer. A retractable rope-ladder entry point allows the sphere to remain completely sealed when not in use.
