Mount the adjustable fresnel lens on a custom articulating brass arm that tracks the sun's specific azimuth for the site's latitude. The lens intensity is calibrated to create delicate, charred markings on the dial surface without damaging the structural integrity of the wood.

Install a protective acrylic dome overhead to keep the lens assembly free from debris and bird interference while maintaining optimal light refraction. Provide a surrounding railing made of bent-wood branches that emphasizes the dendritic aesthetic of the surrounding canopy.
