The structural base consists of a central circular platform anchored to the primary trunk using non-invasive friction bolts. This foundation serves as the anchor point for the heavy-duty radial steel ribs that support the shifting wall panels.

Each wall panel is crafted from translucent bent-laminate cedar, steam-bent into a tapered petal shape to mirror the surrounding forest canopy. These panels are treated with a UV-resistant marine-grade finish to protect against the elements while maintaining a natural aesthetic.

A manual hand-cranked worm gear system is integrated into the center column, allowing guests to expand or contract the entire shell in unison. This mechanical core translates rotary motion into the simultaneous opening of the petals, mimicking the blooming of a forest flower.

The interior is lined with reclaimed cork flooring and built-in folding benches that tuck neatly against the walls when the structure is in its closed, secure mode. This creates a cozy, enclosed pod at night that transforms into an airy, panoramic terrace at sunrise.
